URGENT: PET FOOD RECALL
This is to inform you of a product recall involving Northwest Naturals Raw Diet for Dogs Chicken and Salmon Recipe, 5 lbs. frozen chub, lot 15 082218, UPC 0 87316 38440 6.
This recall has been initiated due to a potential for contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes can affect animals eating the products and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products.
No pet or human illness has been reported to date.
The product was made on 12-22-2016 and was shipped to pet food distributors by January 23, 2017.
Immediately examine your inventory and quarantine product subject to recall. In addition, if you may have further distributed this product, please identify your customers and notify them at once of this product recall. Your notification to your customers may be enhanced by including a copy of this recall notification letter. This recall should be carried out to user.
Consumers are encouraged to check the affected lot code on Raw Diet for Dogs Chicken and Salmon Recipe and are urged to return the product to the specialty retailer where purchased for full credit.
Pet owners who have product in this date and lot code are urged to discontinue use of this date and code product immediately.
